About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA3) to join a welcoming primary school in Bury from September 2026.
This is a long-term opportunity running through to the summer term, based within a Reception class. You will play a key role in supporting early years learning, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and structured environment for young pupils.
Key Requirements

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
*
Proven experience working within Early Years / Reception
*
Strong knowledge and practical experience of phonics (RWI training desirable but not essential)
*
Confidence in supporting small group learning and delivering targeted interventions
*
Ability to cover the class in the absence of the teacher
*
A proactive, flexible, and nurturing approach to supporting young learners
Key Responsibilities
*
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
*
Work with small groups to reinforce learning, particularly in phonics and early literacy
*
Assist with classroom management and daily routines
*
Provide cover and lead the class when required
*
Support the social and emotional development of pupils
