About the Role
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and qualified Primary Teacher to join a SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Audenshaw from September.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting young children with additional needs. You will be working with a small class of pupils up to the age of 6, where the focus is on developing emotional wellbeing, confidence, and social skills, alongside early learning.
Teaching is delivered in a creative and engaging way, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, enrichment activities, and educational trips. The role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to lead and support an energetic group of pupils.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver tailored learning experiences to meet individual SEMH needs

Lead and manage a small class of young pupils

Promote emotional wellbeing, confidence, and positive behaviour

Incorporate outdoor learning and experiential activities into daily teaching

Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience working with children with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs
*
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
*
A creative, flexible, and resilient approach to teaching
*
A genuine commitment to supporting children’s personal development
