This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons. As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring every pupil receives the individual support they need to succeed academically and personally.
As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, your duties will include:
* Supporting planned learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Assisting in lesson planning and providing feedback on pupil progress.
* Monitoring and recording student development and behaviour.
* Delivering one-to-one or small group interventions where required.
* Preparing classroom materials and maintaining a safe, organised learning space.
* Communicating effectively with teachers, senior staff, and parents about student progress.
To be successful in this Year 2 Teaching Assistant role, you should have:
* Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
* A good understanding of the National Curriculum.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
* A genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and development.
