Machine Operator

Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? We're recruiting a Multiskilled Relief Machine Operator to join a busy, well-established operation in North Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working as part of a supportive team.

About the Role

This is a dynamic, full-time position where you'll play a key role in keeping site operations running smoothly. You'll provide essential cover across the team, stepping into different duties and operating a range of machinery. What You'll Be Doing

Operating loading shovels, forklift trucks, and material handlers (12-ton and 20-ton)
Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting any defects
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
Supporting general site operations as needed
Providing cover during holidays and absences across the team

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 17:30 (45 hours per week)
Optional overtime available - up to 20 hours per week

What We're Looking For

Experience operating plant machinery (loading shovels, forklifts, material handlers)
Relevant tickets/certifications are an advantage, but not essential
Strong awareness of health & safety practices
Flexible, reliable, and willing to take on a variety of tasks
A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
