Our client, a main contractor with a Head Office located in West Midlands are actively looking to develop their Work Winning Team with the introduction of a Business Development Manager.
As a main contractor our client operates within a variety of business sectors including: Industrial, Education, Commercial, Health & Care Homes/Retirement Living. They are market leaders within certain sectors and produce an fantastic end product every time. Our client currently enjoys a turnover of £100 million and deliver New Build projects up to the value of £25million.
You will work closely with the Managing Director and Pre-Construction Director
The Candidate (Business Development Manager):
This is a unique opportunity to join a growing business that delivers complex, design-led projects with regular repeat business clients. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, shaping, and securing new construction opportunities — taking them from early concept through to contract award and handover into delivery.
• Lead end-to-end bid activity across PQQs, RFQs, ITTs and RFPs while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Develop compelling tender submissions, capability statements, and client presentations.
• Drive new construction opportunities from lead generation through to tender submission and contract award.
• Experience in construction business development, pre-construction, or bid coordination.
• Strong understanding of construction procurement and tendering processes.
Previous experience within the role of Business Development Manager with a Main Contractor
Previous New Build and Refurbishment experience is essential.
A full UK driving license

Salary: Up to £85,000 dependent on experience
