Responsibilities:
* Operate and take responsibility for the waste collection vehicle, supervising waste management operatives.
* Drive vehicles up to and including HGV’s in compliance with legal obligations and expectations for driver behaviour.
* Carry out kerbside waste and recycling collections, ensuring targets are met efficiently.
* The driver will also be loading.
* You must be able to walk up to 8–10 miles per day and handle bins of various sizes and weights across different terrains and weather conditions.
* Work as part of a 2 or 3-man crew
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
Requirements
* You will hold a valid, clean, LGV Class C licence and valid CPC to be able drive vehicles up to 32 tonnes (e.g. HGV Class 2).
* The ability to undertake heavy lifting as you may need to assist with loading of the vehicle
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* You will be required to attend induction and pass a driving assessment before you can start this role
Hours and Pay:
* Monday to Friday (Occasional Saturday working may be available)
* 7am- 3pm but may be required to start at 6:45am.
* Starting at £14.82 per hour which increases after probation.
