We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to join a large, busy construction site in Edinburgh, with an immediate start available. This role will suit someone happy to operate as a working foreman, overseeing site activities while also being hands-on where required.
You will be responsible for supervising general building works and labour teams, ensuring productivity remains high and works are delivered safely and efficiently across a fast-paced project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising general building and labouring teams on site
* Operating as a working foreman — hands-on when required
* Coordinating day-to-day site activities across multiple work areas
* Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme
* Maintaining high health & safety standards
* Managing site logistics and labour allocation
* Liaising with site management and subcontractors
* Monitoring quality of general construction works
* Supporting delivery across a busy, large-scale project
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a General Foreman / Working Foreman
* Strong background in general building works
* Experience managing labour gangs on busy construction sites
* Hands-on attitude with willingness to assist on the tools if required
* Good communication and organisational skills
* SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
* CSCS Card required
