Management Accountant

Based in Bishop’s Stortford, we are seeking a Qualified Management Accountant to take ownership of monthly reporting, provide commercial insight and support decision‑making across the business.
This role goes beyond production. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, challenge where needed and help shape how financial information is used to drive performance.
Key Responsibilities

Full ownership of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
Preparation and review of accruals, prepayments and journals
Balance sheet integrity, controls and reconciliations
Delivery of insightful variance analysis against budget and forecast
Improving finance processes, controls and reporting
Supporting year‑end accounts, external audit and statutory requirements
Mentoring and reviewing work of junior finance team members
Ad‑hoc projects to support business growth and changeSkills & Experience

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
Strong background in management accounting
Experience partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders
Confident interpreting, analysing and explaining financial data
Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentPersonal Attributes
