How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you a passionate Early Years SENCO looking to make a real difference?

    A well-established nursery in Oldbury is looking for a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join their team between the hours of 9-3pm, Monday- Friday. The nursery are committed to providing the highest quality care and tailored education for every child. As SENCO, you will play a vital role in identifying, supporting, and empowering children with special educational needs and their families.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Manage the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy, following a graduated approach (Assess, Plan, Do, Review).

    * Work closely with key persons, parents, and outside agencies to provide bespoke support.

    * Provide specialist education and training to staff to enhance inclusion.

    * Oversee records and write detailed reports for children with SEND.

    What we are looking for:

    * Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification.

    * Level 3 Paediactric First Aid Qualification (desirable)

    * English GCSE grade C/4+ (if qualified after Sept 2014)

    * Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)

    * Proven experience as a SENCO in a nursery setting.

    * Deep knowledge of the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice.

    * Strong communication skills to build partnerships with families.
