How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lead Electrical Engineer – London Bridge

    A leading Facilities Management provider is appointing a Lead Electrical Engineer to take technical ownership of a major commercial building in the City of London. This role is central to the site’s operation and suits an experienced electrical engineer who is confident leading teams, managing risk, and maintaining high standards in a demanding commercial environment.

    The Role
    The Lead Electrical Engineer will hold overall responsibility for the electrical infrastructure across the building, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and performing as required. The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership, planning, and oversight, acting as the senior technical point of contact on site.
    Working closely with the facilities management team and client representatives, the Lead Electrical Engineer will set standards, resolve complex issues, and ensure all electrical works are delivered efficiently and professionally.

    Key Responsibilities

    Take full technical responsibility for all electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and critical infrastructure.
    Lead, supervise, and support on-site engineers and specialist subcontractors.
    Plan and deliver planned preventative maintenance and oversee reactive works.
    Diagnose complex electrical faults and implement effective, long-term solutions.
    Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety requirements, and company procedures.
    Review and sign off electrical works, permits, and compliance documentation.
    Act as the primary electrical contact for the client and senior management team.
    Drive continuous improvement in site performance, reliability, and safety.The Candidate
    The successful candidate will be a highly experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in facilities management or commercial building maintenance. They will be comfortable taking ownership of a site, leading others, and making sound technical decisions in a live environment.

    Essential Requirements

    NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
    18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
    Proven experience in a senior or lead electrical role within the FM or commercial sector.
    Strong knowledge of electrical compliance, fault finding, and safe systems of work.
    Experience supervising engineers and managing subcontractors.
    Clear communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach.Desirable

    Test & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
    Experience working on large or complex commercial buildings.
    Familiarity with CAFM systems and maintenance planning.What’s on Offer
