We are looking for a reliable and passionate Cook to join our friendly care home team.
This is a rewarding role where you will play an important part in enhancing the wellbeing of our residents by providing nutritious, home-cooked meals in a warm and welcoming environment.
The Role

Prepare and cook fresh, balanced meals for residents
*
Plan menus in line with dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines
*
Cater for specialist diets (e.g. soft diets, diabetic, allergies)
*
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
*
Manage stock, rotation and ordering of supplies
*
Work closely with care staff to ensure residents’ needs and preferences are met
About You
*
Previous experience as a cook (care home or catering environment desirable)
*
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred)
*
Understanding of dietary requirements for older people
*
Organised, reliable and able to work independently
*
Friendly, patient and compassionate approach
