How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a precision engineering and manufacturing environment in Hayes. This role is ideal for someone with strong inspection experience and a keen eye for detail, looking to support high-quality production standards in Hayes.

    About the Role

    The Quality Engineer based in Hayes will be responsible for ensuring products meet strict aerospace and manufacturing quality requirements. The role involves hands-on inspection, use of precision measurement tools, and supporting first article and compliance documentation within a busy production environment in Hayes.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out detailed inspection of machined and manufactured components in Hayes

    * Use precision measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools

    * Operate and interpret results from CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections

    * Compile and review AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)

    * Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities across production in Hayes

    * Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions

    * Ensure compliance with aerospace and customer quality standards in Hayes

    * Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues

    About You

    The ideal Quality Engineer for this Hayes role will have:

    * Strong experience in inspection within a manufacturing or aerospace environment

    * Confident use of gauges, verniers, micrometers, and inspection tools

    * Understanding of AS9102 and experience producing FAIRs

    * Experience using CMM equipment (programming or operation)

    * Strong attention to detail and methodical working approach

    * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

    * Good communication skills and a proactive attitude

    * Experience in quality assurance or inspection in Hayes or similar environments
