How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Supervisor (Days)
    Loughborough
    Up to £55,000

    I’m currently working with a metal recycling company in Shepshed, who are looking to bring in a hands on Maintenance Supervisor to strengthen their engineering team on a Monday to Friday days basis.

    This isn’t a role where you’ll be stuck behind a desk, you’ll still be very much on the tools, while also taking ownership of the day to day coordination of the maintenance function. 

    This is a great opportunity for someone stepping up into their first supervisory role, or an experienced supervisor who still enjoys being technically involved.

    Salary of up to £55,000

    Pension scheme What you’ll be doing:

    Leading and supporting a team of engineers
    Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance
    Managing contractors on site and ensuring work is completed to standard
    Driving health & safety across the department
    Creating and developing maintenance plans and PPM schedules
    Supporting with drawings, planning, and continuous improvement projects
    Acting as the go to person between engineering and productionWhat they’re looking for:

    A strong maintenance background (electrical, mechanical, or multi-skilled)
    Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity
    Someone who’s comfortable being hands-on while also leading from the front
    Experience managing contractors and working with H&S procedures
    A proactive approach to improving systems and processes
