How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Product Specialist

    Brother International Europe Ltd

    šŸ“ Manchester (Hybrid)

šŸ—£ļø A Note from the Hiring Manager

This is a development role in the best sense. I’m looking for someone with real curiosity, someone who doesn’t guess, who wants to understand properly before responding, and who can take technical detail from multiple places and turn it into something simple and accurate for the field. You don’t need to be a Brother expert on day one. What matters more is pace of learning, good judgement, self-initiative, and the ability to explain the truth clearly.

In my own experience, the ā€œAt your sideā€ culture at Brother is real. Your voice is respected, ownership is welcomed, and high performing people are recognised. You’ll be joining a small, experienced, and supportive Product Strategy team that works closely together, challenges each other constructively, and takes pride in doing things properly. This role will require occasional travel, and you’ll be encouraged to enjoy the locations and local culture, with support from colleagues across Europe and beyond.

If you want to be mentored, stretched, and given proper ownership as you grow, in a company and team that genuinely cares about its people, that’s the opportunity on offer.

    šŸ¢ About Brother

Brother is a global brand, delivering products and services to customers worldwide with manufacturing and sales facilities in over 40 countries and regions. Since being established in 1908 as a sewing machine repair business, the Brother Group has grown to be at the forefront of innovation in its history of more than 110 years. Underlying all activities is our ā€œAt your sideā€ spirit, which always places our customers first.

We do this with a customer-first attitude and commitment to the circular economy, ensuring minimal impact on the environment through our ā€œAt your side 2030ā€ vision and environmentally conscious approach.
