How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you ready to launch your career in Electrical Engineering with a leading expert in cutting-edge data centre solutions? Equans Data Centres is seeking a motivated Graduate Project Engineer – Electrical to join our innovate team and support exciting large-scale projects from inception to completion.
    As a Graduate Project Engineer – Electrical, you will become an integral part of our delivery teams, managing key electrical elements on high profile projects. Based in High Wycombe you will collaborate closely with experienced professionals, ensuring projects proceed on time, to quality standards with zero compromise on health & safety.
    Starting in September 2026, you will join our two-year structured Graduate Programme, combining formal training with practical on the job experience. Our programme offers a balance of training and on the job learning to support your transition to becoming an accomplished professional. You will take responsibility for your career, while we offer guidance and support to help you reach your goals.
    We are looking for people who are motivated to continue learning and ready to take on new opportunities. You won’t be alone during the scheme, and you will be supported to drive your development through reviews and regular meetings with the Early Careers team. You will also be able to join any of our employee-led networks, including our Young Professionals Network.
    What you will deliver?
    The type of tasks the successful candidates will be involved with are:
    * Supporting the design and technical coordination of electrical systems including HV/LV distribution, UPS systems, standby generators, earthing, lighting, and controls.
    * Assisting in reviewing drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
    * Work with senior engineers to track installation progress, quality, testing, and commissioning activities.
    * Participate in site inspections, audits, and power‑on readiness reviews.
    * Help develop technical documentation, load studies, reports, and engineering calculations.
    * Collaborate with mechanical, controls, architectural, and IT teams to ensure full integration of systems.
    * Work with suppliers and subcontractors to understand product capabilities and installation constraints.
    * Gain hands‑on experience with the practical delivery of large‑scale electrical infrastructure.
    * Support continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability initiatives across the project lifecycle.
    * Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality environmental and safety requirements.
