How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Work collaboratively to build resilience, confidence and long‑term stability.
    • Offer trauma‑informed emotional support, ensuring every woman feels heard, believed and empowered.

    • Build strong partnerships with external agencies to ensure holistic, wraparound support.
    • Maintain accurate, confidential case notes using a secure case management system.
    • Support refuge accommodation and deliver outreach in the community, following lone‑working procedures.
    • Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture and act as an ambassador for the service.

    About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

    • Prior experience within a paid role in a relevant support, safeguarding or community‑based role.
    • A strong understanding of domestic abuse, risk management and safeguarding.
    • The ability to remain calm, compassionate and professional in challenging situations.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
    • Confidence working independently and collaboratively.
    • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

You will be non‑judgemental, emotionally resilient and committed to delivering high‑quality, trauma‑informed support.

    • An enhanced DBS check is required.
    • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).

The employer is committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and creating an inclusive working environment. Reasonable adjustments will be offered throughout the recruitment process.
