How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you ready to steer the future of a world-renowned product line? We are partnering with a large global manufacturing industry titan with over 85 years of engineering heritage to find a strategic Life Cycle Consultant. This isn't just a role about maintaining the status quo; it's about influencing the entire journey of world-class power solutions from birth to legacy. If you have the technical grit to navigate complex engineering data and the commercial savvy to drive multi-million-pound aftermarket growth, this 12-month contract in Peterborough is your next big career move.

Pay: Up to £33.50 per hour

    Duration: 12-month contract

Schedule: Typically Mon-Fri, 8 am to 4 pm

As a Life Cycle Consultant, you will be the bridge between cutting-edge New Product Introduction (NPI) and long-term aftermarket profitability. You'll join a specialised team within the Industrial Power Systems Division, ensuring that every engine built today is primed for a lifetime of service, repair, and parts growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

Lead aftermarket deliverables within large-scale product launches or deletions, ensuring tasks stay on time and aligned with global strategy.

Develop innovative repair options and service solutions that directly impact parts revenue and Percentage of Parts Sales (POPS).

Optimise intellectual property, branding, and supplier agreements while influencing engine design to reflect aftermarket needs

Use complex data sets to set service levels and identify continuous improvement opportunities across the business

    The ideal candidate:

You are a self-starter who can navigate a matrix organisation and influence stakeholders at all levels. You don't just see a drawing; you see the life cycle of a machine.

A college/university degree or equivalent professional experience.

Ability to read engineering drawings and utilise systems like Teamcenter.

Extensive knowledge of NPI, product deletion, brand management, and overhaul solutions.

Proven ability to manage complex projects across Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.

Comfortable interpreting complex data to provide clear strategic direction.

Ready to influence the life cycle of world-class engineering? Apply today.
