The Role
Position: Early Years Practitioner
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Islington, North London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 4:00pm
Pay: £16.42 - £17.05 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time (5 days per week)
Setting: Early Years provision within a primary school
About the School
We are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive Children's Centre based within a primary school in Islington. The setting is known for its supportive team, welcoming atmosphere, and strong focus on child-centred learning.
Staff are encouraged to bring creativity, energy and care into their practice, ensuring every child feels safe, supported and inspired to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
Support children's social, emotional and developmental progress
Create a stimulating and safe learning environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of practice
Observe, assess and record children's development
Encourage positive behaviour and independence
Build strong relationships with parents, carers and staff
The Ideal Candidate
CACHE Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
Experience in a nursery, children's centre or school setting
A nurturing, patient and proactive approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
