Rate: Up to £24ph DOE (Potential to go perm for up to £42,00)
Location: Near Woking
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
(Flexibility to start/finish earlier in line with core hours)
We’re supporting a well-established engineering business near Woking in their search for a Mechanical Inspector on a Minimum 6 month fixed-term contract. This role has the potential to go permeant.
This role would suit an experienced Mechanical Inspector or a CNC Machinist with proven experience inspecting their own work who is looking to move into a dedicated inspection role.
The Role:
* First Off, In-Process and Final Inspection of precision machined components
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Using handheld measuring equipment such as verniers, calipers, micrometers and height gauges
* Completing inspection paperwork and quality reports
* Supporting non-conformance investigations
* FAIR / First Article Inspection work
* CMM operating experience beneficial but not essential
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a Mechanical / Quality Inspector role
* OR
* CNC Machining experience with strong self-inspection skills
* Able to read engineering drawings
* Experience inspecting machined components to tight tolerances
* Strong attention to detail
