How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Team Behind the Success

We are looking for a motivated and personable individual to join us as a Customer Engagement Administrator, providing key support to the day-to-day operations of the Connexions Group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, building relationships, and ensuring businesses receive the best possible service.
The Connexions Group delivers Telecoms, IT, Network Services, Fibre & Copper Cabling, Broadband, Wi-Fi, CCTV, Site Access & Security, Electrical Systems & Infrastructure to organisations across the UK. Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers, and this role will play an important part in maintaining and strengthening those relationships.
You will be joining a people-focused, values-driven business that has proudly earned Best Companies accreditation for three years running. Employee engagement sits at the heart of our culture, and customer engagement is equally important to us. We are passionate about delivering outstanding service and building long-term partnerships with the organisations we support.
With the business continuing to grow and 2026 shaping up to be an exciting year, there has never been a better time to join us.

    💪 What's your mission?

As a Customer Engagement Administrator, your role will focus on maintaining regular contact with our customers and ensuring they feel supported, informed, and valued. You will help us stay connected with our customer base by checking in, gathering feedback, and ensuring any queries are directed to the right teams internally. You will also help customers better understand the full range of services we provide, making sure they are aware of the solutions available to support their business.
No two days will be the same, but some of the main responsibilities will include:

Contacting customers to check in on their experience with our services and ensure they are receiving the support they need.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers through friendly and professional communication.
Helping customers understand the full range of services we offer and identifying where additional support may benefit their business.
Gathering feedback from customers and sharing insights with the wider team.
Updating internal systems and records with notes from customer conversations.
Liaising with internal teams to ensure customer queries, opportunities, or feedback are followed up.
Assisting with general administrative tasks that support the wider service and engagement teams.
Helping identify opportunities to improve the overall customer experience.

    📖 What do I need?

You do not need a technical background, but you should be a confident communicator who is comfortable speaking with customers and not afraid to pick up the phone. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people and building relationships.
We are looking for someone who has:

Strong communication and customer service skills
A friendly and confident telephone manner
Good organisation and time management skills
The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
A proactive approach and willingness to learn
    Good attention to detail
Confidence using Microsoft Office and general computer systems
Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role would be beneficial, but not essential
Most importantly, you will take pride in delivering excellent customer service and helping us build strong, long-term relationships with our customers.

    ⏰ Working Hours

This is a part-time role, advertised as 2 days per week, Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 2:30pm, with flexibility around the days and exact hours to suit both the successful candidate and the needs of the business.

🍓 We work hard, and we play hard – just a few of our Benefits include:

25 days holiday plus Bank Holiday leave (pro-rata for part-time roles)
Paid day off to celebrate your birthday
    Life assurance
    Group income protection
Employee Assistance Programme – 24-hour support to help with all of life’s challenges
A supportive working environment focused on employee engagement and wellbeing
Opportunities to learn and develop within a growing business
