Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join a well-established steel manufacturing business based in Dudley. This role plays a key part in ensuring customer requirements are consistently met through robust inspection and quality control processes. You will work closely with the QA Manager to support the control and verification of customer-supplied products.

Reporting Line & Responsibilities
Key Accountability:
Responsible for ensuring quality plans are adhered to when supplying parts to key customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage key accounts, ensuring supply requirements are confirmed during production and through pre-dispatch audits
* Carry out inspection of parts at various production stages and prior to dispatch, ensuring compliance with Quality Plans and customer specifications
* Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and depth gauges
* Accurately record and maintain inspection results
* Prepare and package parts in line with customer-specific requirements
* Conduct tests required to maintain Customer Control Plans
Person Specification
Essential:
* Proven experience in a Quality Inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Experience working with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and ensure high-quality output
* Skilled in the use of general measuring equipment
* Good IT skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
* Knowledge of raw materials – ideally steel.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Basic understanding of maths and science principles
