As Part Qualified Accountant in the Audit team, you will support the delivery of audit assignments from planning through to completion, assist with financial statement preparation and year end accounts, and work closely with clients to gather information and resolve queries. Key Responsibilities
Audit and Technical Delivery
• Assist in the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments
• Prepare audit working papers in line with firm and regulatory standards
• Support fieldwork including testing of controls and substantive procedures
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and year end accounts
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and charity regulations
Client Management
• Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Support senior team members in maintaining strong client relationships
• Communicate professionally and effectively with client stakeholders
Team Management
• Work collaboratively with senior auditors and managers
• Take direction from senior team members and contribute positively to team delivery
• Support a culture of teamwork, accuracy and shared responsibility
• Develop skills through on the job learning and feedback
Portfolio and Delivery Support
• Support delivery across a varied portfolio of charity and not for profit clients
• Ensure audit work is completed accurately and within deadlines
• Maintain strong attention to detail across all assignments
• Contribute to high quality service delivery across the audit team
Business Development and Expansion
• Develop awareness of the Charity and Not for Profit sector
• Build knowledge and understanding of audit processes and client service delivery
• Support the wider team in maintaining a high quality client experience
RequirementsSkills and Experience Required
• Fully AAT qualified or part qualified ACA or ACCA
• Strong interest in audit and the charity and not for profit sector
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Previous audit experience would be advantageous
• Experience working with charity or not for profit clients would be beneficial
• Knowledge of charity accounting frameworks such as SORP would be desirable

The salary for this role is dependent on study stage and experience: £28,000 - £40,000
