How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Opportunity

We’re partnering with a fast-growing logistics and distribution business to recruit an experienced HR Manager to support their expanding operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a people-focused, high-performance environment where HR plays a key role in driving culture, engagement, and operational success. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to shape and deliver the people strategy across a busy, fast-paced site.

    The Role

As HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full HR function on-site, acting as a trusted partner to operational leaders.

This is a hands-on, generalist role where you’ll balance strategic input with day-to-day HR delivery—supporting everything from employee relations and performance management to recruitment, retention, and engagement.

    What You’ll Be Doing

Acting as the lead HR contact for the site, supporting managers across all people matters

Providing expert guidance on employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management

Supporting recruitment activity to attract and retain top talent within a competitive market

Driving employee engagement initiatives and supporting a positive workplace culture

Partnering with leadership to support organisational development and workforce planning

Ensuring HR policies and procedures are compliant with current employment legislation

Supporting performance management processes and development planning

Analysing HR data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities

    What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role

Background within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or other fast-paced environments

Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice

Confident handling complex employee relations cases

Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills

CIPD Level 5 (or above) preferred

    What’s In It For You

    Competitive salary of £50,000 – £60,000

Opportunity to shape and influence the HR function within a growing business

A visible, impactful role working closely with senior leadership

    Supportive and collaborative working environment

Clear opportunities for long-term career progression
