This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate at the end of the academic year. One of the requirements in this school is to have excellent behaviour management skills, with the ability to support and engage pupils with SEN in a calm and consistent manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis, supporting their individual learning needs
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Communicate regularly with the class teacher to support progress and adapt learning strategies
Help create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environmentWhat We’re Looking For:
A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or Health & Social Care equivalent)
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, either 1:1 or in small groups
Experience working within a primary or SEN setting would be beneficial
