Multi Skilled Engineer – FMCG | Maintenance Engineer Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a maintenance engineer who is experienced in keeping production lines running efficiently and minimising downtime.
If you are a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Shift Engineer with experience in industrial engineering, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and well-invested business.
Key Responsibilities – Multi Skilled Engineer
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on FMCG production machinery
* Perform electrical fault finding and mechanical diagnostics to reduce downtime
* Maintain and repair automated production lines, conveyors, motors, sensors, and control systems
* Support continuous improvement (CI) and reliability projects across site
* Work closely with production to ensure maximum equipment uptime and efficiency
* Assist with installations, commissioning, and upgrades of new machinery
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and engineering standards
Requirements – Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
* Engineering qualification (Mechanical or Electrical – City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
* Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer / Maintenance Engineer within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, or industrial environments
* Experience with PLC fault finding, automation, and production machinery (advantageous)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Proactive, team-oriented, and solution-focused mindset
