Role Description

We are seeking a Locum Band 7 Community Speech and Language Therapist for a full-time, Community Stroke role based in Ilford. Responsibilities Include providing clinical management and treatment for adult patients with acquired swallowing and communication disorders stemming from a stroke, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred care across the community. The role requires prior NHS or similar experience, excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical practice. A car is required for this role, as you will be travelling across the area.

Qualifications

* Expertise in treatment of adults with acquired swallowing and communication disorders

* Effective Communication skills to collaborate with patients, families, and medical teams

* Capability to assist with supporting for junior staff and colleagues

* Relevant professional registration (e.g., HCPC) and prior experience as a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist

* Ability to maintain professionalism and adapt to fast-paced community healthcare settings

Essential Requirements:

• Candidates must have NHS experience

• Candidates must hold HCPC registration

• Candidates must be a car owner

• Must have unrestricted right to work in the UK
