My client, a well‑established Local Authority, is urgently seeking an experienced MOT Tester / Light Vehicle Technician to join their in‑house fleet maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for stable hours, a supportive working environment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
* Carry out MOT testing (Class 4, 5 & 7 where licensed)
* Undertake vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard
* Ensure all work complies with DVSA legislation and safety standards
* Accurately complete job cards and records
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
✅ Candidate Requirements
* Valid UK Driving Licence (essential)
* IMI Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
(or equivalent City & Guilds qualification) — essential
* MOT Tester Licence (Class 4, 5 & 7) — highly desirable
* Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, professional, and safety‑focused approach to work
🕘 Working Hours
* Monday to Friday
* 09:00 – 17:00
* No weekends
