The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Operations Team Leader – MI Analysis & Insights to lead the delivery of high‑quality operational data, insight and analysis that informs decision‑making and drives performance across global Operations.
This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear insight, partnering with senior leaders and using evidence to improve services, productivity and the member experience.
You’ll lead a small specialist MI & Insights team, act as a trusted partner to Operations leaders and help embed a strong, data‑led culture across MPS.
As Operations Team Leader, you’ll:
* Act as a trusted partner to senior operational leaders, offering insight, challenge and support to drive better decisions
* Provide in‑depth analysis to explain performance, identify trends, and highlight root causes and improvement opportunities
* Support performance modelling, forecasting and analysis to optimise productivity, service KPIs and quality
* Work closely with the central Data & Analytics function to define and deliver meaningful operational metrics
* Ensure robust governance, controls and assurance over MI, reporting and high‑profile operational issues
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion and member‑centric service excellence
What we’re looking for
You’ll be an experienced leader with strong analytical capability, comfortable operating at pace and influencing senior stakeholders through evidence‑based insight.
You’ll bring:
* Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing analytical or MI teams
* Strong expertise in MI, analytics and insight, with the ability to translate data into meaningful action
* Experience working with both financial and non‑financial data
* Excellent communication and senior stakeholder engagement skills
* A strong understanding of data governance, risk and compliance
* Experience using data to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
It would be great (but not essential) if you also have:
* Professional qualifications in Data Analytics
* Experience in medical defence, insurance or a similarly regulated environment
* Understanding of end‑to‑end service, claims or cases processes
