Your new role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Building Services (MEP) team based in Nottingham.In this role, you will take a leading position in the design, coordination and delivery of electrical building services systems, working on projects from early concept stages through to construction and completion.
You will work within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, collaborating closely with mechanical engineers, BIM technicians and other disciplines to deliver coordinated, efficient and compliant electrical designs. You will also play a key role in supporting junior engineers and contributing to the wider success of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:

A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Proven experience delivering electrical design within a Building Services (MEP) consultancy
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards, including BS 7671
Experience working across multiple project stages, from concept to delivery
The ability to manage and deliver work independently while supporting wider project teams
Strong communication skills, including confidence in a client‑facing roleDesirable:

Working towards or having achieved Chartered status (CIBSE or IET)
Experience working within a BIM‑led design environment, particularly Autodesk Revit
Knowledge of sustainable and low‑carbon design strategies
Experience within a multidisciplinary consultancy settingWhat you'll get in return
