Location: Bedford
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PLC Software Engineer to join our team, responsible for the design, development, and commissioning of automation systems. This role is primarily office-based, with some flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop PLC software using Siemens platforms, including TIA Portal
* Support the build and integration of automated cells and systems
* Commission and test control systems to ensure performance and reliability
* Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver projects on time and to specification
* Provide technical support and documentation throughout project lifecycles
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal design
* Strong background in commissioning and system integration
* Experience working with automated build cells
* Ability to troubleshoot and optimize control systems
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
Additional Information:
* 70% office-based, 30% home-based working
