Search Consultancy is looking for a skilled Glazier to join our busy construction and maintenance teams across Newcastle. We are partnering with leading glazing contractors and shopfitters who require precision-driven professionals for high-quality glass installations in residential, commercial, and retail environments.
If you are a Glazier with an expert eye for detail and the technical ability to handle everything from standard residential glass to heavy-duty commercial shopfronts, we have immediate starts and long-term runs of work available now.

The Role

* Glass Installation: Fitting glass into windows, doors, internal partitions, and storefronts using a variety of glazing systems.
* Material Versatility: Working with a range of products, including single/double glazed units, toughened safety glass, laminated glass, and mirrored panels.
* Removal & Prep: Safely removing old or broken glass and preparing frames (timber, uPVC, or aluminum) for new installations.
* Technical Accuracy: Measuring, cutting, and shaping glass on-site where necessary, ensuring all units are plumb, level, and securely sealed.
* Shopfronts & Commercial: Installing large-scale glass panels for retail units and office developments, often involving specialized lifting equipment.
* Sealing & Finishing: Applying putty, silicone, or glazing beads to a high professional standard to ensure weatherproofing and a clean aesthetic.

Requirements

* CSCS Card: A valid Blue or Gold card is mandatory.
* Experience: Proven track record in professional glazing within a construction, fit-out, or maintenance environment.
* Health & Safety: Extensive knowledge of manual handling and the safe movement of glass, including the use of suction cups and lifting aids.
* Precision: Ability to read technical drawings and take exact measurements to minimize material waste.
* Tools & PPE: Full professional glazing kit and standard 5-point PPE.
* Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
