How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity to support students' academic progress and emotional development in a real educational environment.

    We are working with a welcoming secondary school in Swindon seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their support team. What You'll Be Doing as a Behaviour Mentor:

    * Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support to students with behavioural and additional needs
    * Supporting students in managing emotions and developing positive coping strategies
    * Building strong, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe, understood, and motivated
    * Encouraging engagement in lessons and promoting positive behaviour choices
    * Working closely with teaching staff and the SEN team to implement behaviour support plans
    * Demonstrating a strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

    The Ideal Behaviour Mentor Candidate:

    * Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
    * A genuine interest in behaviour support, SEN, or student wellbeing
    * Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
    * Ability to remain calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations
    * A proactive and positive attitude
    * A clean and up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

    Benefits:

    * Competitive daily pay: £89-£100
    * Valuable school-based experience
    * Opportunities for long-term and permanent progression
    * The chance to make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of young people

    If you believe you are a strong fit for the Behaviour Mentor role, we encourage you to apply today
