How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Test Capability Engineer | £55,000 - £65,000 | Crawley

My client is a global clean-energy technology organisation developing advanced power and hydrogen solutions. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Test Capability Engineer to play a key role in supporting technology development by ensuring the capability, availability, and reliability for several on‑site test stands.

The role involves assisting senior test capability leadership in the delivery of a reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient test infrastructure. Responsibilities include contributing to engineering design and development activities in alignment with performance targets, applicable regulations, and industry standards. The position also requires evaluating the viability of new capability proposals, undertaking analytical assessments to confirm system performance and reliability under all operating conditions, and generating comprehensive technical documentation, including process schematics, electrical layouts, and engineering drawings.

    Key Skills and Experience:

+Demonstrable post-graduate industrial experience within manufacturing, process-based, laboratory, food production, or comparable technical environments.
+A proven background in engineering design and project delivery, with hands-on experience of test facilities such as rigs, stands, or dynamometers.
+An undergraduate or postgraduate qualification (BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng) in a relevant discipline, including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Control Systems.
+Ability to interpret, visualise, and concisely summarise technical data; apply basic validation and sense-checking techniques; identify anomalies or inconsistencies; and carry out fundamental thermodynamic calculations.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver cutting-edge test capability within a technically challenging and fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in influencing design decisions, developing robust test infrastructure, and driving engineering excellence from concept through to operation
