Transport Operator - Nights

Job Title: Transport Operator

Location: Medway, Kent 

Shift pattern: Nights, 4 on 4 off 

Salary: Circa £35,000 - negotiable depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Dealing with multiple drivers
Communicating with customers and external depots 
Booking delivery and collection slots
Using a transport system for recording driver and load information 
Liaising with drivers, being aware of actual and expected arrival times, updating stakeholders on delays 
Rerouting jobs as and when is needed
Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
Successful Applicants Must Demonstrate, 

Previous experience as a Transport Operator 
Confident and clear communicator - written and verbal
Must be happy to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
Excellent UK geographical knowledge
Ability to work on own initiative
Quick and efficient problem solving skills
Organised at all times
Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
