How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Purpose and Scope of the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced CCTV / Drainage Investigations Team Leader to oversee and support a three-person CCTV team delivering drainage surveys across the North West.

In this role, you will combine hands-on technical delivery with leadership responsibilities, ensuring surveys are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will operate specialist CCTV equipment, review outputs, and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of survey data and reporting.

This is a field-based, customer-facing position requiring strong technical expertise, team coordination, and a proactive approach to problem solving. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions and play a key role in delivering high-quality investigations across public sewer and domestic drainage systems.

    Your Impact in this Position

In the short term, you will establish team standards, ensure consistent delivery of survey outputs, and support the development of a newly formed team.

Over time, you will strengthen operational efficiency, mentor team members, and build strong working relationships with stakeholders. You will also play a key role in driving quality, safety, and continuous improvement across projects.

Longer term, this role offers a clear pathway into senior supervisory or management positions, with opportunities to contribute to larger infrastructure projects and influence wider operational delivery.

    * Strong experience in CCTV drainage investigations, with the ability to lead by example in the field

    * Confident in operating survey equipment and validating outputs to ensure accuracy and quality

    * Ability to troubleshoot issues and make informed decisions on-site

    Health, Safety and Compliance

    * In-depth knowledge of confined spaces, highway working, and safe systems of work

    * Responsibility for ensuring team compliance with health and safety standards and procedures

    * Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture on-site

    Team Leadership and Development

    * Experience supervising or mentoring team members in a field-based environment

    * Ability to motivate, guide, and support others to achieve high performance

    * Willingness to train and develop less experienced operatives

    Communication and Client Interaction

    * Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and stakeholders

    * Ability to provide clear updates, resolve issues, and represent the team positively on-site

    Organisation and Operational Management

    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate workloads and meet deadlines

    * Attention to detail in reviewing reports, annotations, and survey data

    * Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment

    Flexibility and Reliability

    * Dependable and adaptable approach to work

    * Willingness to work early starts, late finishes, occasional Saturdays, and overtime as required

    Qualifications and Training

    Essential:

    * Significant experience in CCTV drainage investigations

    Desirable:
