How Maths Is Taught Here
Lessons are structured. Language is precise. Students are taught modelling, reasoning, and independent problem‑solving explicitly.
You will:
Teach Maths primarily at KS4
Break down complex concepts systematically
Reinforce key methods and mathematical language
Support students with exam technique and confidence
Expectations are clear for both staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver KS4 Maths lessons aligned with GCSE specifications
Plan lessons that build competence and independence
Identify gaps in understanding and address them directly
Use assessment data to inform teaching and intervention
Maintain consistent classroom routines
Promote resilience and logical thinking
Work collaboratively within the Maths department
