How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    You will shape supplier relationships across a varied digital landscape, giving you scope to influence how key services are delivered. This role lets you deepen your procurement expertise while taking ownership of meaningful supplier strategies.
     
    Where you will be based
    Hertfordshire, hybrid working.

    Essential requirements
    • Senior procurement or SRM experience in a digital or IT related setting
    • Strong understanding of contracts, service levels and performance measures
    • Confident working with senior stakeholders in a complex environment

    What you will be doing
    • Leading supplier relationship management across digital service areas including software, hardware, networks, cyber and wider service categories
    • Building structured approaches for key vendor relationships and ensuring clear ownership for performance, governance and escalation routes
    • Developing and maintaining contract plans, SRM frameworks and performance measures, then applying them across contract lifecycles
    • Working with internal stakeholders at senior level to plan future digital demand and link supplier performance to business needs
    • Supporting the design and delivery of sourcing, renewal or competition strategies for major digital suppliers
    • Working with international colleagues to align SRM practices and share insight across the wider procurement community
    • Helping uplift SRM capability by mentoring colleagues, guiding stakeholders and promoting consistent ways of working

    Your profile
    • Experienced in procurement or SRM, ideally supporting digital, IT or technology based categories
    • Skilled in drafting and managing contractual documents, schedules and service agreements with confidence in contract law concepts
    • Able to evaluate commercial risk, identify negotiation levers and advise stakeholders on supplier performance and contract options
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence decisions at senior level and handle conversations with suppliers at pace
    • Comfortable managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers, from local service providers to large international software and technology partners
    • Collaborative, structured and confident working on complex multi country or multi stakeholder programmes

    Salary and rewards
    £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, including 20% bonus and additional benefits on offer.
    These vacancies require Security Check clearance. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain relevant clearance.
