Location: AWE Burghfield (site-based, full-time)
Rate: £500-£600/day (Umbrella PAYE, Inside IR35 - all-in)
Duration: ASAP - September 2026
Clearance: SC preferred (must be eligible to obtain)
We are seeking experienced Mechanical & Electrical Commissioning Engineers to support a major programme within a highly regulated nuclear environment. This is a site-based role, requiring strong commissioning expertise and a proactive, safety-first approach.
Role Overview
Commissioning of building services and facility systems
Support FAT / SAT and full system lifecycle testing
Execute functional testing, validation, and handover activities
Work closely with project teams to ensure compliance and delivery
Systems In Scope
HVAC / ventilation
Fire detection & alarm systems
CCTV & security systems
Lighting & power distribution
Mechanical & electrical plant
Essential Requirements
Nuclear experience (non-negotiable)
Proven commissioning experience on large, regulated projects
Strong background in building services / M&E systems
Experience with FAT, SAT, and test documentation (test packs)
Valid CSCS card (site access requirement)
SC Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Desirable
Experience within Defence / high-security environments
Relevant technical qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering discipline)
