Production Operative - Manufacturing

Reporting to: Production Manager
Location: On-site
Hours of Work:

Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Friday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Total break time: 45 minutes per day

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The role involves assisting in the production of high-quality sliding sash windows while maintaining excellent standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

Arrive on time and ready to begin work in your assigned area.
Carry out production tasks with a Right First Time, On Time, Every Time approach.
Assist in the manufacture of sliding sash window products, following company processes and work instructions.
Operate machinery safely and in accordance with training and procedures.
Report any machinery issues or safety concerns to the Team Leader or Manager.
Assist with routine maintenance and upkeep of machinery.
Maintain company quality standards at all times.
Complete performance and system documentation accurately and within required timescales.
Work to agreed productivity and efficiency targets.
Keep workstations and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
Follow all Health & Safety and PPE requirements.
Take a flexible approach to supporting all areas of the production process as required.
Carry out reasonable tasks as requested by management, including occasional duties outside normal responsibilities or working hours.
Be willing to lift heavy components when required.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous industry or manufacturing experience is desirable.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good timekeeping and attendance.
Physically capable of manual handling tasks.
A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude to work.
