How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    TEACHING AND LEARNING DEVELOPMENT LEAD (MATHS)

    A large and forward-thinking secondary school in West London is seeking a Teaching and Learning Development Lead (Maths) to join their team from September 2026.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Maths teacher to take on a key leadership role within a thriving department. The position is full time, with a salary on Band A - Band C + Management Allowance (MA) 2 (£48,106 - £68,368).

    Teaching and Learning Development Lead (Maths) - West London

    Lead the development and implementation of outstanding teaching and learning strategies across the Maths department.
    Coach and mentor colleagues to enhance classroom practice and improve student outcomes.
    Analyse performance data to identify trends and implement effective interventions.
    Drive high expectations and a culture of excellence within the department.
    Support curriculum planning to ensure it is ambitious, engaging, and inclusive for all learners.
    Work collaboratively with senior leadership to support whole-school priorities and improvement.This is a well-established secondary school with a strong commitment to high standards and continuous improvement across all areas.     Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
