How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Engineering @365 is working with a leading construction machinery dealership who, due to continued growth, is seeking a field based Heavy Plant Fitter who can work independently across a designated territory.
    About the role:
    This is a hands-on, field-based role involving the diagnostics, servicing, and repair of construction, agricultural, industrial, heavy line, and recycling equipment at customer sites.
    This opportunity would suit a highly skilled plant engineer with strong mechanical and diagnostic experience who enjoys problem-solving and delivering exceptional customer service.
    Key Responsibilities:
    * Carry out machine diagnostics, servicing, and repairs to equipment to manufacturer standards
    * Diagnose faults using laptop-based diagnostic systems
    * Complete repairs efficiently with a “first time fix” approach
    * Accurately record job information using PDA systems
    * Liaise with manufacturers and internal teams regarding technical support and updates
    * Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety policies and quality standards
    * Participate in ongoing training and development, including manufacturer courses
    What we’re looking for:
    * Proven experience in heavy plant machinery or construction equipment diagnostics, servicing, and repair
    * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
    * Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
    * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
