How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Engineer

    4 on 4 off Shifts 12 hour days and nights

    90+ days holiday + Excellent Pension

    Based in West Yorkshire, commutable from Pontefract, Castleford, Knottingley, Leeds

    The Company:

    This is a multi-site manufacturing business that invests heavily in the site and its engineers. The site is automated and full of complex machinery and equipment to test your engineering skills.

    They are currently looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to help support operations keep the factory running effectively.

    The Role:

    The maintenance engineer will be conducting both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy manufacturing plant.

    You will be fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems

    You will be looking at proactive maintenance opportunities to eradicate repetitive faults and get to the heart of machine failures.

    Required Experience:

    A suitable maintenance engineer for this role will be qualified to NVQ 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering as a minimum#

    You must be multi-skilled and be comfortable working on mechanical and electrical faults on a daily basis

    Experience maintaining complex industrial machinery on a manufacturing plant is really important for this position
