The Role
This is a general classroom-based Teaching Assistant position, supporting teaching staff across a range of subjects and year groups to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all pupils. The role will include some additional support for pupils with mild or emerging SEND needs as part of inclusive classroom practice.
Supporting teachers in the delivery of high-quality lessons across the classroom
Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and promote pupil progress
Assisting with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and maintaining a positive learning environment
Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence in learning
Providing light support for pupils with additional needs, under the guidance of teaching and SEN staff
Supporting behaviour management strategies in line with school policy
Helping to monitor pupil progress and feeding back observations to teaching staffCandidate Profile
Essential:
Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to support learning effectively in a classroom environment
A proactive, positive, and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
