The Role
This is a senior support position, ideal for a HLTA with substantial experience working with pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in supporting students, staff, and the wider school in raising attainment and ensuring inclusive access to learning.
Acting as a core member of the Individual Needs team, delivering high-quality support for pupils with SEND across the school
Building strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff, modelling best practice and maintaining high expectations
Providing targeted interventions (1:1 and small group) to support progress in areas such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and social/emotional development
Supporting the identification of barriers to learning, contributing to assessments, and assisting in the diagnostic process
Leading on the development, implementation, and review of Individual Needs Plans, ensuring they are tailored and impactful
Contributing to statutory SEND processes, including EHCP applications, annual reviews, and exam access arrangementsCandidate Profile
Essential:
Significant experience supporting children and young people with a range of SEND
Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individual Needs Plans
Familiarity with EHCP processes, annual reviews, and SEND documentation
Experience delivering targeted interventions (1:1 and small group)
HLTA status, Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experiencePackage & Benefits
