How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Listening and supporting, especially when residents are vulnerable or facing challenges
    * Learning and improving, using feedback and insight to strengthen services
    This role is ideal for someone who is choosing a career in housing, motivated to make a difference in neighbourhoods and proud to be part of #ChooseHousing.

    * Creating and delivering costed Neighbourhood Plans to improve satisfaction, safety and performance
    * Carrying out estate, scheme and property inspections, identifying issues and driving improvement
    * Working with managing agents (where applicable), monitoring performance and ensuring services meet agreed standards and resident expectations
    * Responding to complaints, ASB and community safety concerns with fairness, empathy and professionalism
    * Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to build safe, inclusive and thriving neighbourhoods
    * Championing customer engagement and ensuring services are accessible, high quality and value for money
    What we’re looking for
    * Someone who truly lives our values: Be kind. Do the right thing. Love new ideas. Celebrate diversity. Keep our promises. Pull together.
    * Experience in a customer‑facing role, ideally within housing management or the social housing sector
    * Knowledge of tenancy and leasehold management, enforcement and safeguarding
    * Confidence managing a varied caseload, with strong organisation and prioritisation skills
    * A resilient, compassionate and problem‑solving mindset
    * Willingness to undertake a Level 3 qualification in Housing Management, if not already held
    Why join us?
    You’ll be part of a supportive, values‑led organisation where residents are at the heart of what we do. We work simply, safely and smartly, support one another to succeed, and are committed to learning and improving our services.
    Here’s what you’ll get when you join us:
    * Flexible and hybrid working
    * 30 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays
    * Up to 10% pension contribution, matched 1:1
    * Two additional paid volunteering days each year
    * Flexible benefits scheme, including options for healthcare, dental care, and more
    What to expect from our recruitment process
