How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Divisional Manager - Oil & Gas.

    Job type: Permanent / Hybrid (circa 3 days per week on site)

    Salary: Highly Competitive + Benefits

    Location: West Midlands, United Kingdom

    Territory: UK (with team liaison across Europe and beyond)

    Employment Type: Full-Time, Hybrid (with regular office presence in the West Midlands and international travel as required)

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are seeking a commercially focused Divisional Manager with strong leadership capability, technical credibility, and experience within the Oil &Gas materials and Metallurgy environment.

    This role will suit an individual who can lead a multi-functional team while building strong relationships across external customers and internal departments.

    This is a leadership role with responsibility for an experienced team across commercial and support functions, as well as accountability for divisional performance against commercial objectives. It will suit someone who can lead from the front, establish visible on site presence, and drive a connected, process-led approach across the function.

    Ideal Qualifications / Experience

    * Industry Experience: Strong background in oil and gas sector

    * Experience of providing, specifying or designing speciality metals and accessories for Oil and gas projects and applications.

    * Commercial Leadership: Experience with profit, gross margin, and budget responsibility within a commercially led role.

    * Customer & Project Understanding: Ability to work with major service companies, engineering organisations, EPC-linked supply chains, technically demanding customer requirements, and supplier network.

    * Analytical Capability: Comfortable working in a data-driven environment, interpreting commercial and operational data to support decision-making.

    * Systems Knowledge: Experience using SAP is highly advantageous.

    * Management Experience: Proven ability to lead and develop teams across sales, administration, and quality-related functions.

    * Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels.

    * Extensive technical knowledge or Degree‑level education in Business, Metallurgy or a related field.

    * Minimum 5 years of managerial experience within the Oil & Gas or related industrial sectors.

    * Mobility: Willingness to travel across the UK, Europe, and occasionally further afield as business needs require.

    * Language: Fluent in English
