Job Overview
Plumbase Northampton is looking for a dependable and skilled Warehouse Supervisor to join our team.
This is a key role in the day-to-day running of the branch. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard – from managing deliveries and picking orders to operating warehouse equipment and keeping wastage to a minimum.
We’re looking for someone who knows how to move at pace, thinks ahead, and takes ownership of the space they work in.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, check, and sign for deliveries from suppliers.
Accurately pick and pack customer orders for collection and delivery.
Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts.
Load and unload vehicles with care, following manual handling procedures.
Maintain clear, organised stock locations to maximise efficiency.
Ensure effective rotation of stock to prevent damage and wastage.
Take a proactive role in keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and safe.
Support wider branch operations and work closely with the sales counter team.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous warehouse experience is essential ideally from the plumbing and heating sector.
Confident operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
A methodical and organised approach – you take pride in high standards.
Comfortable working in a physical, fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and a strong communicator.
Someone who works well under pressure and keeps calm when it’s busy.
