How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Occupational Health Technician (Hybrid OH & Hygiene Role)

    📍 Location: Gravesend/Tilbury
    đź’Ľ Type: Full-time, Permanent
    đź’° Salary: ÂŁ25,000-ÂŁ30,000 dependent on experience

    The Opportunity

    We’re partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking business to recruit an Occupational Health Technician for an exciting hybrid role.

    This is not your typical OH Technician position. You’ll have the opportunity to expand into occupational hygiene, working alongside experienced specialists and gaining hands-on exposure to a broader, more preventative approach to workplace health.

    If you’re looking to develop your career beyond traditional health surveillance, this role offers a unique pathway into a holistic and impactful field.

    The Role

    This is a varied, predominantly site-based role where you’ll deliver core occupational health services while also supporting occupational hygiene activities.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Conducting pre-placement health assessments
    Carrying out drug and alcohol testing
    Supporting return-to-work assessments
    Delivering health surveillance programmes
    Assisting with workplace wellbeing initiatives and campaigns
    Monitoring exposure to workplace hazards (e.g. noise, dust, vibration)
    Recording findings and producing clear, accurate reports
    Delivering toolbox talks and engaging with clients on-site
    Supporting the wider team in delivering occupational hygiene servicesYou’ll work across a range of client environments, contributing directly to the prevention of workplace ill-health.

    About You

    We’re looking for a motivated and adaptable Occupational Health Technician who is keen to grow and diversify their skillset.

    You’ll bring:

    Previous experience as an Occupational Health Technician (essential)
    Strong client-facing and communication skills
    A proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach
    Confidence working independently as well as part of a team
    A genuine interest in developing within occupational hygiene
