Our clients head office is located in the Slough area, however this role would require commuting to projects nationwide - therefore applicants must be willing to travel or can be located across the UK.
Our client are a leading contractor, specialising in the design and construction of contemporary facilities. With a track record of hundreds of successful projects across Europe and the UK, they are a recognised D&B contractor in the car parking market across the UK. This will be an office based/hybrid/site based role.
Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:
* Building and maintaining upon client relationships.
* Commercially management of contracts: application preparation, Identify and value client change requests, managing client valuations.
* Serve contract notices in accordance with the contract, and customer / company policy.
* Sub-Contractor commercial management: Tendering process and negotiations, Placing orders, and contracts.
* Managing subcontractors’ applications, variations, payments, and final accounts.
* Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractors, and Customers’ representatives.
* Project Reporting.
* Reporting to Senior staff; Compiling Monthly CVR Reports and commercial risk report and cost forecast.
* Building and implementing systems of work within the QS department to achieve the above.
Quantity Surveyor requirements:
* Degree within Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying / equivalent qualification.
* 5-8 years of relevant QS construction experience, including JCT management.
* Knowledge in construction planning and understanding of construction execution.
* Ability to manage contracts, calculations, and budgets.
* Positive, Self-assured and motivated.
* Productive, flexible and eager to learn.
* A natural leader, motivating and inspiring.
* Willing to travel across the country and abroad as required.
