How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We’re seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to take ownership of deployment, reliability, and operational performance across a cutting-edge cloud platform. You’ll play a key role in supporting an AI-driven environment, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and continuously improving.

    This is a hands-on position that blends infrastructure, security, and software engineering. Alongside managing and scaling cloud systems, you’ll contribute to ISO 27001 certification efforts, embedding security and compliance into everyday engineering practices.

    Working closely with engineering and data science teams, you’ll also contribute to a Python codebase and help shape a resilient, production-ready platform.

    Key Responsibilities

    Platform & DevOps

    * Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment

    * Manage staging and production environments

    * Run and scale containerised workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)

    * Monitor system performance (metrics, logs, tracing) and maintain alerting

    Engineering

    * Develop internal tools and automation

    * Support and improve backend services

    * Enhance observability and operational performance in application code

    * Collaborate with engineers on secure, production-ready development

    Security & Compliance

    * Maintain and improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS)

    * Implement security controls across infrastructure and applications

    * Support internal and external ISO 27001 audits

    Requirements

    Essential

    * 3–5 years’ experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering

    * Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS preferred)

    * Strong Linux systems administration skills

    * Strong Python scripting/programming ability

    * Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)

    * Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes

    Security & Compliance

    * Experience with ISO 27001 (certification, ISMS, or audits)

    * Strong understanding of cloud and application security best practices

    Engineering

    * Experience contributing to production Python codebases

    * Understanding of testing, maintainability, and secure coding

    Desirable

    * Experience running web applications at scale (CDNs, load balancing, auto-scaling)

    * Knowledge of networking (VPCs, DNS, TLS/SSL, VPNs)

    * Exposure to regulated or scientific environments

    * Experience supporting ML/data science workloads

    What’s on Offer

    * Competitive salary + equity options

    * Medical and dental cover

    * Life assurance

    * Income protection and more
